So crazy right, Hi guys. Gonna tell you a story about my race with the
55 gallon drum dimensions. First off all what does this mean? Let me be clear
what this is. Its a container (drum) that has a 55 gallon size well known in US
and in the uk its 44 gallon. But does anyone know what the dimensions are of
these gallons?
So i went looking on the net and found a few
sites that offer 55 gallon drum dimensions, but not everything was clear. In
fact there are several options with these drums available. Like plastic drums
and metal versions. The dimensions on these things are different en you can get
them in any size you want. But what if you want them exact filled up to 55
gallon? I found this website with all the information dimensions that helped me
on the road. They also stated that it is far economical and efficient to use
the plastic drum because of the weight advantage you get. The steel drums are
just to heavy and if you are transporting more than one you are going to see
significantly difference. The transport company (cargo plane) charge me with
weight.
55 gallon drum dimensions are made from
plastic are yet durable. They have a special coating UV protection and are rust
proof. A few options that you can look into using these things are storing food
products, waste (from you shop or business that you run) and other liquid or
solid products that you can store in the 55 gallon drum dimensions. Also the 44
is popular in the UK but is not less efficient like the 55 does. Take a look at the website where you can get all the information and buy one.
How it's actually got me thinking and coming up with this lid for the gallon.(See picture below)
